What Is "HOME TREE Radio"
Inspired by the epic environmental wake-up call, AVATAR, Home
Tree Radio is a one hour call to action to save our planet
. . . our own "Home Tree".
Our relationship with our host, our beautiful planet, is
unsustainable. Earth will survive, but unless we radically
change, we will not. As Thomas Friedman said in our panel
in Washington, DC, "Nature always bats last and it
bats 1,000 every time."
AVATAR depicts a future where Earth has become a dead planet,
requiring its human inhabitants to travel light years to
plunder resources needed for its own survival.
Home Tree Radio focuses on
a) The science and nature of the current threat to our survival
on planet Earth
b) The legislation and technology being developed to address
that threat
c) The action steps that we can and must take, together,
to create a sustainable planet
James Cameron and his vision of a sustainable future .
. . the modern integration of the lessons of Pandora . .
. provide the essence of the show and James will appear
often on the show to share his depth of knowledge and passion
on these issues. Having grown up in nature in his native
Canada and having spent 3,000 hours as an "underwater
astronaut" exploring the depths of our oceans and its
many ecosystems, his insights, reflected in AVATAR and on
this radio show, provide one of the clearest understandings
of the urgency of our moment as a species.
Starting Monday, April 26, the day after the Climate Change
Rally on The Washington Mall, Home Tree Radio devotes itself
to the endangered Kerry-Graham-Lieberman energy and climate
change bill, the best chance America has had in years to
incorporate the True Cost into energy and other products
and end "Silent Taxation", the further accumulation
of the "Phantom Deficit", "Dishonest Accounting"
and "Corporate Socialism".
Join us and experts as we educate, discuss, dispel the
myths of other talk shows and plan strategy and action around
energy, climate change and sustainability. The goal is to
generate awareness and pressure, on Sen. Graham and his
Republican colleagues, to stop the obstruction, to understand
the urgency and to finally create green jobs, a green economy
and a sustainable future.
